Privacy & your data

Information we use

We use your sign-in email, display name, and optional profile photo to maintain your account. We store your briefing preferences, selected publishers, portfolio tickers, email delivery preferences, and referral activity to provide the service. Portfolio entries are watchlists; we do not connect to your brokerage or execute trades.

Storage and service providers

The website is hosted on Vercel. Firebase provides authentication and database storage. Briefing generation runs on our server. Email delivery uses our email provider. Links to publishers and market-data providers open their services, which have their own privacy policies. Google sign-in is optional.

We store sign-in state and a recent briefing/preferences cache on your device. A referral cookie remembers the first valid referral link for up to 30 days. Referral records connect qualifying signups with the referring account. Payment information will be handled by Stripe when paid subscriptions launch; billing is not active during the free beta.

Your choices

You can change briefing preferences in Customize and pause emails in Account settings. To request account deletion, a copy of your data, or help with a privacy question, email yourbriefings@thebriefbot.com from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify account ownership before fulfilling a request.
